Australia Deploys Drones On Beaches To Monitor Sharks

The lifeguard associations for surfers are institutions on the Australian coasts, where most of the population lives. The lifeguards watch the sea and in case of danger help people on board pneumatic boats or boards.

Some Australian beaches are equipped with anti-shark nets but do not sufficiently guarantee safety and also cause significant damage to marine fauna, according to a government study that promotes their progressive elimination.

This year there were several shark attacks. According to specialists, incidents are increasing due to the growing popularity of water sports and because some categories of fish are approaching beaches. But deadly attacks are rare, 47 in the last 50 years.
